Could a reunion be on the horizon in Toronto? DeMar DeRozan was traded away for Kawhi Leonard and that landed the Raptors a championship. They could look to get him back, especially if they are going to lose Fred VanVleet.

Toronto could add DeRozan back with Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam, who has taken massive strides since DeRozan has been with the Spurs. DeRozan would not impact the Raptors’ cap situation in 2021, given his expiring contract.

It would be difficult to make the money work in a trade. They do not have quite enough to send the Spurs to match salary, but the possibilities of sign-and-trade deals are available. Norman Powell and Patrick McCaw are names that come to mind.

It is unknown if these sides will even want to reunite. However, from a basketball standpoint, it makes sense and it would allow DeRozan to play for a contender.
