Why The Philadelphia 76ers Should Do It

If the Philadelphia 76ers, led by the new duo of Doc Rivers and Daryl Morey, feel that the pairing of Embiid and Simmons has run its course, this may be one of the best packages Philly could hope for.

The 76ers acquire a star in Donovan Mitchell, who put on an absolute show in the playoffs. Mitchell showed his talent on a nightly basis, and made history in the process.

In August, Mitchell became just the fourth player in NBA history to score 50 or more points twice in the same playoff series.

Gobert was able to bounce back after unfortunately being the first player in the NBA to publicly test positive for Covid-19 back in March, which led to the suspension of the season.

This trade would give the Sixers a big three of Ben Simmons, Mitchell, and Gobert and could make Philly a force to be reckoned with in the East.
