The Toronto Raptors are no longer the reigning NBA champions. That title belongs to the Los Angeles Lakers. It is now up to Masai Ujiri to improve the team so they can get back to that championship level. Could Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo be a trade target?

Many names have been linked to Giannis Antetoukonmpo once he hits free agency. Basically every title contender has been rumored to make a push for Giannis next season. That includes the Raptors.

That is only a year away, so what can the Raptors do until then? They could try to bring Oladipo to town.

Oladipo played 19 games in 2019-20 after returning from a quad injury. He averaged 14.5 points per game on 39.4% from the field and 31.7% from three-point range. He has one year left on a four-year, $85 million contract deal with the Pacers. It is unlikely they will get another deal done, so it would be smart to trade him before he leaves in free agency.

If that is the case, the Raptors could be looking to add the Pacers’ product. This is a trade that could potentially work for both sides and would send Victor Oladipo north of the border.
