This Celtics-Warriors trade would send No. 2 pick to Boston

The Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors are both going to be intriguing teams to keep an eye on this offseason. Both teams are contenders in the respective conferences, but they both have work to do if they want to win a championship.

For the Warriors, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson will both be back at full health next season. Draymond Green is still in town and Andrew Wiggins is on the roster. They also have the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

On the other hand, the Celtics made a run to the Eastern Conference Finals. They were unable to knock off the Miami Heat, but there is a lot of promise on the roster. However, an offseason move or two could take them another step forward.

With all of that being said, these two teams could come together on a big trade this offseason. The deal would include the No. 2 overall pick heading to the Celtics. Golden State would receive a very talented player in return.

Let’s take a look at the hypothetical trade and also look closer at why the deal could make perfect sense for both teams involved.
