Trade Package #3

Heat acquire DeMar DeRozan

Spurs acquire Andre Iguodala, Kelly Olynyk

This trade is probably the baseline offer the Heat could make for DeRozan, so we’ll address it first.

Olynyk needs to opt-in to the final year of his contract to make this plausible (as does DeRozan).

Miami could fit DeRozan’s salary for next season by parting with only Iguodala and Olynyk.

This trade for San Antonio does not provide the type of young assets the Spurs seem to want. But Iguodala is a former Finals MVP, and the Spurs missed the playoffs for the first time in over two decades, so Iguodala would still be a valuable addition.
