Boston has four first round picks combined in the 2020 and 2021 drafts. In this deal, they part with two.

It starts with Hayward, of course, and then Boston’s original pick in the 2020 draft. The Celtics also throw in another first rounder this year (via Milwaukee).

This would be a lot to give up for a player with just one season of control remaining, but an acquisition of Oladipo would ideally be more than a one-year rental for Boston.
