Trade No. 3

Warriors acquire Joel Embiid

76ers acquire Andrew Wiggins, 2020 first-round pick (No. 2 overall), 2021 first-round pick (via Minnesota)

This is probably the “base line” offer the Warriors would make for a player of Embiid’s stature, and Golden State would be thrilled if this offer was accepted.

As the Warriors peruse the trade market, a deal for a star would have to include Wiggins’ salary, and at least multiple first round picks. While prices to acquire stars are steep, the Warriors do have the picks to offer, if they’re willing to part with them.

Beyond the No. 2 pick in this week’s draft, the Warriors have their own first round pick next year, plus Minnesota’s 2021 first-rounder (top three protected).
