Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat, fresh off of a crushing loss in the NBA Finals, will be in the market for another star this offseason. Pat Riley and company will survey the trade market as well as free agency. As far as a trade is concerned, could Toronto Raptors star Kyle Lowry be a potential target?

Lowry could prove to be an ideal fit for the Heat for one big reason: he’ll enter the 2020-21 season on an expiring contract. Lowry is set to make $30 million next season before he’d hit free agency at the age of 35.

The Heat could afford Lowry’s salary slot for next season, and, as pointed out by Bleacher Report, it would not be detrimental to Miami’s big free agency plans in 2021.
