Why the Kings Should Do It
Sacramento is a franchise that needs an identity. The Kings haven’t made the playoffs in 14 years, and their quest continues.
It was somewhat of a big deal when the Kings got Harrison Barnes. The same can be said for Buddy Hield, although his experience in Sacramento has not always been pleasant.
The Kings need an impact player, but also someone who wants to put down roots there. They need to build a foundation for the future, that will improve their team on the court, and improve their image off the court.
If Turner fits the bill for them, Sacramento should explore a trade for him. In this hypothetical trade, he could come in and play alongside Hield and Barnes, and form a new core for Sacramento as they try to finally return to the playoffs.
