Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves are at an inflection point. They’ve landed the No. 1 pick in the 2020 draft, and whether they make the pick or trade it, Minnesota needs to add to its foundation.
Adding Bradley Beal to an already-talented core including Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell would go a long way toward vaulting Minnesota into contention.
The Timberwolves will have multiple options with the No. 1 pick, and they may feel that a rookie fits into their timeline for contention. But Towns and Russell are both 24, and Beal may fit better at 27 than an 18 year-old rookie.
Minnesota needs to take advantage of the core it has in place, and adding Beal would help the Timberwolves in a crowded Western Conference.
