The Hypothetical Trade

Bucks acquire Paul George

Clippers acquire Khris Middleton, DJ Wilson, Donte DiVincenzo, 2020 First-Round Pick via Indiana

This hypothetical deal sends George from Los Angeles to Milwaukee, where he’d pair with Giannis Antetokounmpo instead of Kawhi Leonard.

It also gives the Clippers a star back in return, as Khris Middleton is the headliner going back to Los Angeles. A first-round pick adds even more value for the Clippers.

It may be tough for the Bucks to part with Middleton, but in a trade for George it would be worth it.

The acquisition of Middleton would also show the Clippers intend to remain in contention with a new core of Leonard and Middleton for next season, before reassessing after 2021.
