Why the T’Wolves Should Do It

Minnesota finally turned the page on the Andrew Wiggins era last season. They’ve paired Karl-Anthony Towns with D’Angelo Russell, but in a loaded Western Conference, Minnesota likely needs more star power to compete.

If Minnesota has a chance to acquire Simmons, the T’Wolves absolutely have to consider it. Simmons is not new to being the subject of trade rumors, and if Philadelphia were to sell him to the highest bidder, they’d have no shortage of offers.

Enter the No. 1 pick. There has been speculation since Minnesota landed this pick that it could be on the move. One of the last remaining questions is Doc Rivers’ presence in the situation. We know what the Sixers were with Simmons under Brett Brown, but how does Rivers’ presence change the dynamic?
