RUMOR: Victor Oladipo wants to move on from the Pacers this offseason

The Indiana Pacers will have some tough decisions to make this offseason. All of those decisions will start with what to do with All-Star shooting guard Victor Oladipo.

Rumors have stated that the Pacers could look to move their star guard this offseason. However, the hope was that Oladipo would want to return to the team. That does not appear to be the case at this point in time.

According to a report from Jared Weiss of The Athletic, Oladipo is looking to “move on” from the Pacers this offseason.

Victor Oladipo came back from a ruptured quad injury this season and played in 19 regular season games. He ended up averaging 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in those appearances. During the four playoff games the Pacers played, Oladipo averaged 17.8 points per game.

At this point in time, a few teams have stuck out as potential landing spots for Oladipo if the Pacers do look to trade him. The Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, and Brooklyn Nets are the main teams rumored to have interest in acquiring him.

Indiana will not move Oladipo just to move him. Kevin Pritchard will be asking for a good trade package in return. Thankfully for the Pacers, it shouldn’t be too difficult to get value for him.

Looking ahead to the 2020-21 season, there will be some reservations about Oladipo’s health. He didn’t look like his All-Star self, but did show some flashes of that level of play at times.

Expect to hear a ton of rumors surrounding Victor Oladipo and the Pacers this offseason. It seems likely that he will be moved and that Indiana will be looking at a small rebuild. Trading Oladipo would be a sad day for the Pacers, but fans should begin preparing themselves for it to happen.
