This 76ers-Knicks trade would send Ben Simmons to New York

The Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks will be entering a busy offseason. Both teams know that they need to make some moves, although they are for different motives. New York simply wants to get back into playoff contention, while the 76ers will look to shake things up a bit, which could include trading Ben Simmons.

While the 76ers could choose to hold on to both Simmons and Joel Embiid, listening to offers would be wise. Simmons is a good player, but he should be available at the right price.

If the Knicks want to make a big-time trade to bring in a star, Simmons would be an ideal target. New York has some pieces that could be used to acquire a star like Simmons. Those pieces could be exactly what the 76ers need to build better around Embiid.

Simmons put together a solid 2019-20 NBA season with the 76ers. He averaged 16.4 points per game to go along with 7.8 rebounds and 8.0 assists. In addition to those numbers, he shot 58 percent from the field, but has yet to develop a three-point shot.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at a trade between the 76ers and Knicks that would send Ben Simmons to New York.
