The Lakers are in complete win-now mode and the delay of this season only exacerbates that. Being able to keep Kyle Kuzma for bench scoring while doubling down on giving up a future asset would make sense for the team’s ability to win it all in 2021.

The Pacers take pride in being a perennial playoff team so it could be difficult for the main asset involved being a 2022 1st round pick. However, the thought would be that the Lakers would perhaps no longer be an elite team by then with LeBron James being a few years closer to 40.
