LeBron James ties Kobe Bryant for third all-time in Lakers’ triple-doubles

LeBron James and Kobe Bryant have been connected ever since “The King” decided to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers a couple of years back. Unfortunately, this year tragedy struck. Bryant was killed in a heartbreaking helicopter crash.

However, James and the Lakers have kept moving forward and are looking like serious title contenders. Now, James has made history by tying Bryant for third all-time on the Lakers’ all-time triple-double list.

SportsCenter took to Twitter to share the impressive feat from LeBron James.

James and Bryant are two of the best players to ever play in the NBA. They have both been debated as serious candidates to be ranked ahead of Michael Jordan. Losing Bryant was the most shocking and brutal blows that professional sports has ever seen.

Needless to say, the rest of the 2019-20 season has been dedicated to Bryant by the Lakers and James. It has given James even more motivation to bring a championship to L.A.

So far this season prior to Sunday’s game, James had averaged 25.3 points per game to go along with 10.6 assists and 7.7 rebounds. He had shot 49.3 percent from the floor overall and 34.7 percent from the three-point line. Los Angeles has a 46-13 record following their win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out for the Lakers. Winning a title would be amazing to watch in honor of Kobe Bryant. James certainly has the ability to lead them to that goal.

Expect to continue hearing more about James and him moving up the record books in L.A. He has quite a few more triple-doubles left in him this season alone.
