Mohamed Bamba

I feel like his status as the team’s best draft selection since Victor Oladipo deserves Bamba his own category, so I’ll give it to him. As the team’s top selection in the draft, there is no question Bamba is going to see the floor this year, and he’ll see a lot of it.

With Nikola Vucevic’s contract expiring after this season, Bamba is the future of the team — and the future could be now.

Vucevic could be an attractive deadline target for the Magic, so expect Vuc to take the reigns at first and the early minutes, but as the season progresses, Bamba will come into his own. The Magic do not have to rush his development because the team has plenty of time as they are in no place to contend this year or next at least.

I think Bamba has the highest ceiling on the Magic. He has the biggest chance to be an All-Star down the line, but Rome was not built in a day, and neither will Mo Bamba. That’s why the player that will have the biggest impact for this upcoming season is not him, but rather…
