The Golden State Warriors tried to pry LeBron James away from the Los Angeles Lakers last season at the NBA trade deadline, but they were unsuccessful.
Could they attempt it again?
Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes has proposed a massive trade in which the Warriors would send Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Kevon Looney and three first-round draft picks to the Lakers in exchange for James.

This would pair James with Stephen Curry and provide Golden State with one of the most accomplished superstar duos in NBA history.
What are the chances of the Golden State Warriors landing LeBron James?
The Warriors would have to jump through a pretty significant hoop in order to acquire James: a no-trade clause.
James can veto any deal, and given that he has shown virtually no signs of desiring to leave Los Angeles, you have to think he would block any potential trade.
Of course, that could change if James still craves another championship run and feels he would be better equipped to chase that dream elsewhere. Like Golden State.
A James-Curry tandem would certainly be lethal, even if James and Curry are both in the twilights of their respective NBA careers.

But let’s be honest here: James is playing with Anthony Davis and still got knocked out of the first round last season. Would switching uniforms to play with Curry give him that much greater of a chance of winning a title?
James turns 40 years old in December, so the clock is obviously ticking. He also has been battered with various injuries since joining the Lakers in 2018.
Regardless, it’s certainly an interesting idea.
