Making his career with just one NBA franchise, Klay Thompson is now a part of the Dallas Mavericks. Signing a three-year worth $55 million with the Mavericks, Klay is set to make a fresh start. But for Mavericks partial owner Mark Cuban, the NBA Champion is not that significant, which is quite a surprise.
In a recent interview with Jalen Brunson podcast show ‘Roommates Show‘, Cuban’s thoughts on the three-pointer star capability stated to be much less as expected.
Stating on his addition to the team’s roster, Mark talks on how the Warriors made Klay to move fore and front always. For him, Klay should take up a corner, stand, wait for the ball to be passed, make a move and then go for the shot.
“Obviously, the big addition was Klay. Just somebody who you have to face guard, who’s going to make 40%… You know at Golden State, he had to always be on the move. They had that motion offense where he was always coming off the screens and running. We don’t do that, or not nearly as much. I’m sure we’ll run some of that action for him, but just standing in the corner and standing in the wings, and just catch and shoot from Luka and Ky. Hopefully his life is going to be a lot easier.”

The Mavericks are, however, a better chance for the emerging champion to pair up and give his best shot. Teaming up with players like Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, will be a good opportunity for a shooter like him.
“Playing with Luka and Kyrie, that’s what was attractive, especially watching their championship run. I was really shocked to see the chemistry with their teammates.”
