Draymond Green has been no stranger to ejections throughout his NBA career. His fiery demeanor often leads to on-court clashes that result in him being tossed from games. From putting opponents in headlocks to engaging in mid-game scuffles, the Golden State Warriors forward has accumulated quite the list of infractions.

His latest addition came during a matchup against the Orlando Magic, where once again, Green found himself ejected, leaving Steve Kerr and Stephen Curry to navigate the game without him against a formidable Magic frontcourt featuring Franz Wagner, Paolo Banchero, and Wendell Carter Jr.

Green’s latest ejection occurred just four minutes into the game following a heated exchange with officials, clearly showing his inability to control his emotions on the court.

While Curry expressed frustration over the call, Kerr offered a nuanced perspective, indicating that the incident wouldn’t diminish his confidence in Green’s emotional growth.

“Yeah, too bad. It was unfortunate. He deserved it, and he’ll bounce back,” Kerr said. “I’m just proud of the guys for stepping up.”

Despite Green’s premature exit, Kerr managed the rotations adeptly, guiding the Warriors to a victory over the Magic.

Andrew Wiggins stepped up with 23 points, partially filling the void left by Green’s absence. Trayce Jackson-Davis contributed significantly with 14 rebounds and eight points, while Moses Moody and Kevon Looney made notable contributions off the bench, combining for 12 rebounds and 16 points.

Green’s absence was particularly felt by Curry, whose offensive prowess often relies on Green’s ability to create opportunities through elite passing and facilitation. However, despite the setback, Curry displayed no apparent disappointment after the win.

“All I’ll say is we need him. He knows that. We all know that,” Curry said. “So whatever it takes for him to be on the floor and available, that’s what’s gotta happen.”

Finishing the game with a 17-point double-double, Curry showcased his playmaking abilities with 10 assists, effectively orchestrating the Warriors’ offense.

Additionally, the team’s defensive efforts proved crucial in securing the victory, as they held Magic’s key players, Banchero and Wagner, to a combined 29 points and limited their opponents to a dismal 42.4% field goal percentage.

Next up for Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors will be a matchup against the Hornets in Charlotte on Friday night.
