A popular venture that NBA players have begun taking part in recently is hosting podcasts. Former players host very popular ones on different media outlets while active players have started getting in on them as well.

This season alone, New York Knicks teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart started a podcast together, The Roommates Show. They have joined the likes of Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, who has a popular show himself.

Green, who is not afraid to speak his mind, thrives in a podcast setting. He provides insight on several topics, including life around the NBA. In a recent episode, he praised the work of that Knicks duo after New York defeated Golden State in a matchup last week.

Another player who has been a topic of discussion for Green recently is Los Angeles Lakers star, LeBron James. The two are good friends, but Green admitted that he has a bone to pick with James and that he is upset with him.

“I must say I am a little upset that LeBron James is going on a podcast and he still hasn’t been on The Draymond Green Show,” Green said in his latest episode.

“But when it’s your own thing, you kind of can’t say anything.”

James is the latest player to start up a podcast, as he is combining with former NBA sharpshooter J.J. Redick to make the Mind The Game Pod. Their first episode was launched recently and drew some very positive feedback, breaking down NBA film in detailed, yet easy-to-understand ways for viewers and listeners.

That is something that has left Green a little disappointed, as he has yet to have James on his show as a guest. He has had several current and former NBA players on the show, but James is not included on that list and Green, very clearly, would like for that to change.

In James’ defense, he isn’t appearing on a guest on a different podcast before appearing on Green’s; he is launching his own show along with Redick. Green’s comments were probably a little tongue in cheek and in jest, as the two friends will likely get together for an episode sooner rather than later.
