Cleveland Cavaliers big man Evan Mobley has been sidelined for the last nine games as he recovers from a left ankle sprain. He entered Sunday’s NBA slate listed as questionable to play against the Miami Heat.
Sources tell NBA Analysis Network that Mobley is expected to return to the Cavaliers’ lineup for Sunday’s game against the Heat. He is expected to return to the starting lineup as well.
Mobley suffered his injury in a March 5 matchup against the Boston Celtics, ending his performance in 23 minutes. During his time on the floor, he recorded four points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Mobley has averaged 15.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 38 games, shooting 57.8% from the floor, 31.4% from the perimeter, and 70.4% on free throws. The Cavaliers posted a 3-6 record in the nine-game stretch he missed.
Cleveland continues without a long list of key players, headlined by Donovan Mitchell, who will be out for at least a week after undergoing surgery to repair a nasal fracture. Other rotation players sidelined include Max Strus and Dean Wade.
