The Atlanta Hawks decisively defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 110-93 during Sunday’s NBA action, breaking their three-game losing streak with a robust team performance. Dejounte Murray and De’Andre Hunter led the Hawks in scoring, with significant contributions across the board.

“We were all on the same page. Everybody was hungry to do better, and I think we did that from the first guy all the way down, was talking to each other, was helping each other,” Murray commented on the team’s synergy. “We were active the whole game, and I think that was important for this great team win.”

Despite a strong showing from Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Clippers lost their fourth game in five, impacting their standing in the Western Conference.

“If you don’t play hard and compete and you don’t take care of things you need to take care of on a nightly basis, you can lose. And so tonight was one of those nights,” Clippers coach Tyronn Lue expressed, acknowledging the night’s challenges.

The Hawks set the tone early, ending the first quarter with a lead, then extended their advantage significantly by halftime. Their defensive strategy effectively contained the Clippers, with Clint Capela‘s performance in the first half standing out.

Leonard reflected on the Hawks’ defensive adjustments, saying, “I’ve got to give them credit. They started shrinking the floor and bringing in another guy towards me.”

Atlanta’s defense was a key talking point, with coach Quin Snyder praising his team’s effort.

“Our players said some things to each other that we need to do on defense and trying to be really focused on doing those things,” Snyder said. “And then, offensively really attacking this group. They’re a very good team, so I was happy with how we played.”.
