In a commanding performance during Tuesday’s NBA action, the Sacramento Kings decisively beat the Milwaukee Bucks 129-94, marking their first victory over Milwaukee in over eight years. This win ends a 15-game losing streak against the Bucks, the longest active streak for any team against another in the league.

“I think defensively we did a great job,” said Kings superstar De’Aaron Fox, who finished 29 points. “I think that fueled our offense. Obviously we scored 130 points, but even if we didn’t play that well offensively, if we have even below-average game, score 110, we still win this game by 15. … I think this was one of the most complete games that we’ve played this year.”

From the start, Sacramento took control, leading by double digits from the second quarter onwards and extending their lead to 30 points by the fourth quarter. Domantas Sabonis contributed significantly with 22 points and 11 rebounds, achieving a Kings single-season record with his 47th consecutive double-double.

“Night in, night out, he’s come up big for us,” Fox acknowledged. “I think people are immune to it. No one outside of basically us talks about it. But that’s obviously a hard thing to do and there’s not many people have done it. He comes ready to play every night.”

Malik Monk bolstered the Kings’ offense with 25 points off the bench, as Sacramento now trails Phoenix by just a half-game for sixth place in the Western Conference standings.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 30 points and 13 rebounds, but Milwaukee struggled offensively, shooting just 36.6% and missing a majority of their three-point attempts during their four-game California road trip.

“We deserved it tonight,” Bucks coach Doc Rivers admitted. “It’s my fault. I didn’t get them prepared the way I should mentally. At shootaround, guys were talking about planes leaving. As a staff, we talked about it after shootaround that if our focus is not better than this morning, it’s going to be a long day. And it was a long day. So that’s on us.”

Despite the loss, Milwaukee saw a standout moment from rookie Andre Jackson Jr., who executed a remarkable putback dunk late in the game.

Sacramento’s strong start was highlighted by eight three-pointers in the first quarter, setting the pace for a game that saw them lead by 20 points by halftime.

Both teams faced absences due to injuries, with the Kings missing Keegan Murray and the Bucks without Khris Middleton and MarJon Beauchamp. Rivers shared optimism for Middleton’s return to the court soon.
