During an intense moment at Little Caesars Arena, Detroit Pistons’ general manager Troy Weaver reacted strongly to provocations from an NBA fan in the audience, using expletive-filled language and signaling for security to intervene.
This incident took place amidst Detroit’s significant 142-124 defeat to the Dallas Mavericks on a Saturday night.
“You threatened me,” an unidentified individual remarked to Weaver in a clip that spread rapidly across social media platforms.

Jeffrey Calloway, a 46-year-old loyal season-ticket holder from Detroit, recounted the event to The Associated Press. He was near Weaver when the fan confronted Detroit’s GM not once, but twice, before being removed by security personnel.
“The guy that was in the incident, with the Red Wings stuff on, came over and was pointing at the scoreboard earlier in the game,” Calloway recounted. “Troy Weaver just shrugged his shoulders and said, ‘OK,’ and the guy went back to his seat.
“When (Jalen) Duren got ejected (midway through the fourth quarter), the guy came back and told him that he was terrible at his job. Then, Troy Weaver was telling the fan he had to leave and that’s when ushers or security walked over.”
