The Boston Celtics showcased their deep roster and sharpshooting prowess to secure a commanding 138-110 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, marking their tenth consecutive win in a stellar performance during Friday’s NBA action.

Jayson Tatum led the charge with 32 points, including five 3-pointers, while the Celtics displayed a remarkable team effort that saw seven players scoring in double figures.

Jaylen Brown contributed significantly with 25 points and seven rebounds, helping the Celtics to knock down 21 three-pointers in their impressive win against the Mavericks, lifting their record to an NBA-best 47-12. Kristaps Porzingis also played a key role, scoring 24 points as the Celtics secured their second win of the season over the Mavericks.

“You can’t have empty possessions against them. And then you can’t have breakdowns defensively against them,” Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said.

Despite a slow start, Tatum ended the game with his 22nd performance of the season scoring at least 30 points, emphasizing the team’s adaptable strategy to each game.

“We’ve progressed, understanding every night is going to look different,” Tatum said. “If it calls for me to essentially pass the ball eight possessions in a row, because that’s the right read, then you have to trust that that’s what’s going to help us win the game.”

On the other side, Luka Doncic recorded his 12th triple-double of the season, amassing 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, becoming the first player since Russell Westbrook in 2016 to log a 30-point triple-double in Boston. However, Dallas struggled to match Boston’s shooting efficiency, particularly from beyond the arc, where they made only 9 of 34 attempts.

Kyrie Irving, facing a hostile reception in Boston, added 19 points for the Mavericks, but his effort was not enough to counter the Celtics’ dominant performance.

Jaylen Brown highlighted the team’s growing confidence and strategic play, especially in crucial game moments. This was evident as the Celtics surged ahead with a decisive run in the third quarter, extending their lead in the final period.

“We know if we play the game the right way, there’s a lot of options out there,” Brown said. “We’re confident in the game plan, and we’re confident in our ability to read the game. And we’ve been doing that pretty much all year.”

After returning from a knee injury, Dante Exum contributed four points in his first game back for the Mavericks. Despite a competitive first half, the Celtics’ firepower proved too much for Dallas, with Porzingis and the team’s efficient three-point shooting setting the tone early on.

As both teams look ahead, the Mavericks are set to face the Philadelphia 76ers while the Celtics prepare for a showdown against the Golden State Warriors, each aiming to build on their current standings.
