Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic is one of the best players in the NBA. The two-time league MVP continues to dazzle fans with his style of play every night. Despite having so much personal success and helping lead the Nuggets to a championship last season, it feels as if Jokic still surprises some people with just how good he actually is.

He can dominate the game in several ways. An elite passer, Jokic can pick apart your defense and rack up assist numbers like a point guard if you allow him to. Despite being unassuming and not the most athletic player on the court, Jokic can pile up points efficiently as well if you allow it.

On Thursday night against the Washington Wizards, all that was on display for Jokic. In the Nuggets’ first game back from the NBA All-Star Break, he picked up right where he left off, as Washington had no answers for him.

Jokic recorded his 16th triple-double of the season, scoring 21 points with 19 rebounds and 15 assists. He needed just over 31 minutes to compile all of those stats, as the Nuggets won the game 130-110.

NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets Updates

In the process, Jokic found himself creating some NBA history. According to NBA History on X, Jokic became the first player to record at least 20 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists in a game while shooting 100 percent from the field. He went a perfect 10-for-10 from the field, with his only miss of the evening being one of his two free throw attempts.

It was the first time Jokic had a triple-double against the Wizards in his career, giving him another impressive feat. There have been only two other players in NBA history to record a triple-double against every team they faced, joining Russell Westbrook and LeBron James.

Both of those players, given that they have played for multiple franchises, recorded triple-doubles against all 30 NBA teams. Jokic is at 29, with the Nuggets being the only team he hasn’t recorded one against as he has played with them for the entirety of his career to this point.
