Chicago Bulls forward Torrey Craig has encountered a setback due to a right knee sprain sustained during an NBA All-Star break workout. He will be re-assessed in a timetable of two to four weeks.

This marks Craig’s second notable injury this season, following a severe sprain in his right plantar fascia in mid-December, which sidelined him until early February

Craig has appeared in 33 games for the Bulls this season, including eight starts. Known for his defensive versatility, he has contributed an average of 6.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists over 21 minutes per game.

Craig’s role has primarily been that of a versatile small ball forward, a position also facing an injury with Patrick Williams, the starting power forward, being injured. Williams has been out of action since January 25 due to a left foot injury and is not yet on the path to recovery.

Bulls coach Billy Donovan expressed caution regarding Williams’ return, noting that he has yet to start running and is still experiencing slight discomfort in his foot, according to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago.

With injuries affecting their frontcourt, the Bulls might explore options on the buyout market to fill the vacant roster spot and bolster their lineup.
