According to NBA insider Jovan Buha of The Athletic, the Los Angeles Lakers will not trade Austin Reaves unless a clear-cut All-Star becomes available.
The Lakers are interested in acquiring Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray, who has the same agent as LeBron James and Anthony Davis. However, they will not part ways with Reaves to acquire the Washington product.
“Austin Reaves, whom teams continue to ask for in negotiations, remains off the table barring a clear-cut All-Star shockingly becoming available, according to league sources granted anonymity because they’re not authorized to speak publicly,” Buha wrote.
The Lakers re-signed Reaves last summer in restricted free agency to a four-year, $53 million contract. The guard is making $12 million this season.
