According to NBA insider Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Golden State Warriors have no interest in trading Klay Thompson or Draymond Green.
If the Warriors make a trade, Chris Paul and/or Andrew Wiggins would be moved.
“The Golden State Warriors have no interest in moving Draymond Green or Klay Thompson before the trade deadline, according to ESPN insider Brian Windhorst,” ESPN wrote. “Speaking on ‘SportsCenter,’ Windhorst added the Warriors could look into trading Chris Paul, who is on an expiring contract, or Andrew Wiggins, who has had a difficult season with the team.”
The Warriors are 20-24 on the season. They are in 12th place in the Western Conference standings. If the season ended today, Golden State wouldn’t even be in the play-in tournament.

Thompson, who becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, is averaging 17.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.5 blocks this season while shooting 42.1% from the field, 38.5% from beyond the arc and 91.0% from the free-throw line.
Meanwhile, Green is averaging 9.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks while shooting 48.5% from the floor, 41.8% from 3 and 80.5% from the foul line. He signed a four-year, $100 million contract with the Warriors last offseason.
The Warriors have won four championships in the Thompson-Green-Stephen Curry era. All three players will have their numbers retired by the franchise one day. Even though Thompson and Green are no longer All-Stars, the Warriors still want both champions to spend their entire careers in Golden State since Curry is close with them.
According to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Warriors are expected to re-sign Thompson this summer.

It will be fascinating to see how the Warriors finish this season. A team with Thompson, Curry and Green leading the way can’t be completely counted out since they have so much championship experience.
