According to NBA insider Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, the Los Angeles Lakers don’t want to trade Austin Reaves or Rui Hachimura.

The Lakers are interested in acquiring Dejounte Murray from the Atlanta Hawks, but they want to keep Reaves and Hachimura.

“L.A. is also close to its first-apron spending limit (about $4.9 million under), so several others might need to be on the move (especially if L.A. is taking in additional veterans from Atlanta) like Rui Hachimura, D’Angelo Russell and Gabe Vincent (out after knee surgery),” Pincus wrote. “The Lakers want to keep Reaves and Hachimura, so it remains unclear whether a compromise can be met.”

Reaves is averaging 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.1 blocks this season while shooting 49.0% from the field, 34.4% from beyond the arc and 87.1% from the free-throw line. He’s making $12 million.

Meanwhile, Hachimura is averaging 11.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks while shooting 49.0% overall, 37.0% from 3 and 76.8% from the foul line. He’s making $15.7 million.

The Lakers are 20-21 on the season. They are in 10th place in the Western Conference standings. Since Los Angeles wants to keep Reaves and Hachimura, it may be tough for the franchise to acquire Murray, one of the top two-way players in the NBA.

Murray has the same agent (Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group) as Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Beyond the agent ties, the Lakers are said to be very interested in Murray, per Pincus.
