According to NBA insider Sam Vecenie of The Athletic, the Golden State Warriors are not looking to trade Jonathan Kuminga or Moses Moody.

Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. values both players at a very high level.

“You also won’t see Jonathan Kuminga or Moses Moody, two young Golden State Warriors players who could be used to facilitate a deal for a star player,” Vecenie wrote. “I don’t think the Warriors have ruled out moving them, but my impression, at least currently, is that they aren’t actively including them in potential trade packages either. League sources believe new general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. values both at a very high level and would love to hold onto them if he can, even if he also understands one or both may need to be the mechanism to facilitate much-needed changes with the slumping Warriors. It’s possible one or both of Kuminga and Moody feature on future iterations of this board, but that’s the reasoning I used to hold them off for now.”

Kuminga, 21, is averaging 13.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks this season while shooting 51.4% from the field, 31.3% from beyond the arc and 71.0% from the free-throw line. He’s making $6 million.

Meanwhile, Moody, 21, is averaging 8.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks while shooting 48.2% overall, 35.8% from 3 and 78.9% from the foul line. He’s making $3.9 million.

The Warriors are 18-21 on the season. They are in 12th place in the Western Conference standings. Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam and Atlanta Hawks star Dejounte Murray are two players Golden State would like to acquire, sources told NBA Analysis Network.

However, most NBA execs don’t believe the Warriors have the assets required to acquire Siakam or Murray, two of the best players in the league.
