Some NBA players are underrated. In all likelihood, a series of factors have led to them being underestimated. Perhaps they got injured, and fans wrote them off – and didn’t notice when they started rounding back into form.

Take Collin Sexton of the Utah Jazz. When he was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, he was seen as a future star. After a devastating injury, fans forgot about him. In 2022-23, Sexton returned – but he didn’t look like his former self.

In 2023-24, Sexton was flipping the script. If you didn’t notice, he’s playing like a young player with star potential. With that said the Jazz could consider selling high on him.

Could they send him to the Orlando Magic?

Orlando Magic Receive: G Collin Sexton

With that said, there are 30 teams in the National Basketball Association. It’s difficult to watch all of them at the same time. Even the most devout basketball junkie is likely to miss a game or two here and there.

These days, it’s hard to miss the Magic. This team is garnering plenty of potential. The Magic are a young team amid a winning season. That’s an exciting narrative that will take hold of NBA fans around the league.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Collin Sexton, Utah Jazz, Orlando Magic Updates

Are we saying that the Magic’s players are overrated? Not at all. We’re simply saying that with teams like the Magic on the rise, it’s easy to overlook a player like Sexton.

Should the Jazz send him to Orlando?

Why The Utah Jazz Do The Deal

The Magic are a young team on the rise. By contrast, the Jazz are floundering. Perhaps that’s why this team is widely seen as a potential seller at this year’s deadline.

They don’t have to move Sexton. He’s young enough to be part of their future. On the other hand, he doesn’t seem like an ideal fit alongside Keyonte George. Meanwhile, George is younger, cheaper, and has flashed his own star potential.

So, moving Sexton makes sense. Here, the Jazz are receiving a pick that’s almost certain to convey. Taking a flyer on Isaac makes sense, too. He’s among the most injury-prone players in the NBA, but he has an immensely high ceiling and is on an expiring contract.

Should the Magic finally quit on him?

Why The Orlando Magic Do The Deal

The Magic are in an interesting position. This team has a surplus of young talent. The Magic’s guard rotation is especially worth looking at. They’ve got a lot of talent. Is it necessarily the best fit together?

We’re not sure. Orlando has a lot of playmaking and very little shooting in their backcourt. This team could use a guard who can space the floor and also create his own shot. That happens to be a perfect description of Sexton.

Meanwhile, Sexton is also a capable defender. In all likelihood, he’ll usurp Cole Anthony in this team’s rotation. The Magic will still find roles for Anthony Black and Jalen Suggs, and Markelle Fultz is too frequently injured to consider.
