The game didn’t start smoothly for Thompson and Curry, who initially struggled with their shooting. However, their fortunes changed after halftime. Thompson’s outstanding performance included five 3-pointers and a 17-point contribution, helping the Warriors secure a 16-point lead before the final quarter.
Despite shooting 8-24, Curry played a key role with nine assists, expressing satisfaction in the team’s collective effort despite personal challenges in shooting.
“It’s nice to win a game like that where I know individually I can shoot the ball better, but we won a game collectively,” Curry said. “We have a standard that we want to live up to for ourselves. The disappointment is you know you can play better. It doesn’t mean we’re going to win every game, but you just want to play better. I think we did that tonight.”

The Warriors, recovering from a 13-point halftime deficit, showed resilience, with Andrew Wiggins contributing 17 points and eight assists. Jonathan Kuminga added 24 points from the bench.
“This was a game we felt we had to win, especially with the upcoming road trip,” Thompson said. “When our spirit is right, things tend to go our way.”
DeMar DeRozan stood out with 39 points for the Bulls, although it wasn’t enough to secure a win. Zach LaVine, back from injury, added 25 points. Coby White also shone, particularly in the first half, scoring 21 of his total 25 points. Despite leading by 13 points at halftime, the Bulls couldn’t maintain their momentum against the Warriors’ comeback.
“They did a great job adjusting, coming out changing up the game plan,” DeRozan said of the Warriors. “You can never count them out, no matter how big of a lead we have.”

“I can’t wait until Draymond is back,” Thompson said. “We’re not the Warriors without him. Hopefully within these next couple of games, maybe Memphis or Utah would be great. I think he makes the biggest impact defensively.”
