The NBA season is young. With that said, it isn’t getting any younger. By now, we’ve got some idea of where the league’s teams stand. That isn’t good news for the Detroit Pistons.

After all, the Pistons are the worst team in the NBA. They can’t seem to get a win. A lot of people have suggestions for how the Pistons can fix themselves. Still, there is no easy solution here.

On the other hand, the Atlanta Hawks may be able to get on track. They’ve had an underwhelming season but aren’t dismal like the Pistons. The right trade could make the Hawks a playoff lock.

Could that trade be for Bojan Bogdanovic of the Detroit Pistons?

Atlanta Hawks Receive: F Bojan Bogdanovic

This would be a historic trade. It would be the first time in NBA history that a Bogdanovic was traded for a Bogdanovic. We’re joking. At the same time, the international community’s influence on the NBA has been no joke.

Look at the best players in the NBA. Several of them are not American-born. Nikola Jokic. Giannis Antetokoumnpo. Joel Embiid. Meanwhile, not only MVP candidates are coming to the league from abroad.

Why The Detroit Pistons Do The Deal

We’re not sure what the Pistons should do. This team has a seemingly insurmountable number of problems. Some would suggest that Detroit should just make a win-now trade.

At this point, the slow rebuild doesn’t seem to be working. We understand that. At the same time, the season feels lost. The Pistons could trade for a Zach LaVine or a Pascal Siakam – in all likelihood, they’d still miss the playoffs.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Bojan Bogdanovic, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks Updates

It may be wise for them to turn their attention to the 2024-25 season. In that event, picking up an asset for Bogdanovic makes sense. This pick will convey, the Kings will comfortably avoid the lottery. Taking on Bogdanovic’s contract may hurt, but it’s not so burdensome that Detroit won’t eventually be able to move it.

Besides, he’s a solid player – should the Hawks part with him?

Why The Atlanta Hawks Do The Deal

The Pistons are abysmal. The Hawks are middling. This team could justify taking several directions. If Atlanta wanted to rebuild, that could be justified.

On the other hand, there’s a lot of talent here. The Hawks have one of the best playmakers in the NBA in Trae Young. They’ve got one of the best two-way guards in the league in Dejounte Murray. With an injection of shooting, the Hawks could get back to playoff contention.
