The Atlanta Hawks have made Dejounte Murray widely available on the trade market, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
Murray is making $17.7 million this season. He signed a four-year, $114 million extension with the Hawks in July. The extension kicks in next season.
“The premier point guard on the market before the Feb. 8 trade deadline may be Atlanta’s Dejounte Murray, a former All-Star whom the Hawks have made widely available, according to league sources, two years after trading three first-round picks to acquire Murray from San Antonio,” Fischer wrote.
The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers are interested in trading for Murray, who is represented by Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group.
