Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA.

However, Curry has struggled to shoot the ball lately. After the Warriors lost to the Dallas Mavericks, the two-time MVP talked about his shooting struggles.

The Warriors are on a three-game losing streak. Curry is shooting 31.1% from the field, 30.6% from beyond the arc and 87.5% from the free-throw line over his last three games against the Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat and Mavericks.

NBA NEWS, RUMORS: Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors Updates

The Warriors are 15-17 on the season. They are in 11th place in the Western Conference standings. Curry, 35, is averaging 27.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 45.3% overall, 40.9% from 3 and 93.1% from the free-throw line.

Since he’s a gifted shooter, Curry should snap out of his shooting slump soon. However, the Warriors could continue to struggle as the season moves along. They are 19th in the NBA in defense and Curry is the only player on the team averaging 20.0 points.

The Warriors lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2023 Western Conference Semifinals in six games. Jordan Poole was traded to the Washington Wizards for Chris Paul last offseason. The hope in Golden State was that adding a second ball-handler would free up Curry for more open looks and make the game easier for the Davidson product.

However, the Warriors are only 14th in the NBA in offensive rating.

NBA NEWS, RUMORS: Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors Updates

Most NBA observers believe the Warriors need to make a trade. Only time will tell if Golden State’s front office decides to shake up the roster and surround Curry with more offensive help.
