One NBA writer is proposing that the Dallas Mavericks acquire Pascal Siakam from the Toronto Raptors.

Fran Leiva of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Raptors, Mavericks, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors:

Golden State Warriors receive: OG Anunoby, Otto Porter Jr.

Los Angeles Lakers receive: DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso, Jevon Carter

Toronto Raptors receive: Zach LaVine, Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, Jaden Hardy, 2024 second-round pick via Lakers, 2025 second-round pick via Warriors, 2025 second-round pick via Mavericks, 2026 first-round pick via Warriors

Chicago Bulls receive: Andrew Wiggins, Tim Hardaway Jr., D’Angelo Russell, Richaun Holmes, Maxi Kleber, 2025 second-round pick via Lakers, 2027 first-round pick via Mavericks, 2028 first-round pick via Warriors, 2029 first-round pick via Lakers, 2030 second-round pick via Lakers

Dallas Mavericks receive: Pascal Siakam, Thaddeus Young, Garrett Temple

Siakam is averaging 21.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists this season while shooting 50.7% from the field, 24.1% from beyond the arc and 75.7% from the free-throw line. The two-time All-Star, who is making $37.9 million, becomes an unrestricted free agent after this season.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks Updates

The Mavericks could potentially start Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Grant Williams, Siakam and Dereck Lively II if Dallas’ front office figured out a path to acquire Siakam from Toronto. A “Big 3” of Doncic, Irving and Siakam — at least on paper — could compete for a title.

Siakam has career averages of 17.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists. He has made two All-NBA teams and the swingman also won the 2018-19 Most Improved Player of the Year Award.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks Updates

The Mavericks are 18-14 on the season. They are in sixth place in the Western Conference standings. Irving is the only player on the roster with a championship. Adding Siakam, who won the 2019 title, would give the Mavericks another proven winner who knows what it takes to win it all.
