One NBA writer is proposing that the Los Angeles Lakers acquire Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls and Dejounte Murray from the Atlanta Hawks.
Ishaan Bhattacharya of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Lakers, Bulls and Hawks:
Atlanta Hawks Receive: D’Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, Jalen Hood-Schifino, 2029 First-Round Pick (LAL)
Chicago Bulls Receive: Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, 2030 First-Round Pick Swap (LAL)
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Zach LaVine, Dejounte Murray
The Lakers are interested in acquiring LaVine and/or Murray. Both All-Star guards are represented by Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group. Paul, of course, represents Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

LaVine is averaging 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists this season while shooting 44.3% from the field, 33.6% from 3 and 86.6% from the foul line. He hasn’t played since November 28 due to a right foot injury.
Meanwhile, Murray is averaging 20.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists while shooting 45.8% overall, 37.4% from beyond the arc and 83.0% from the foul line.
LaVine and the Bulls are looking to part ways, while the Hawks are expected to explore their trade options with Murray.
The Lakers could start Murray, LaVine, Taurean Prince, LeBron and Davis if Los Angeles’ front office figured out a path to acquire Murray from Atlanta and LaVine from Chicago. Murray is one of the top two-way players in the NBA and LaVine is one of the most talented scorers and shooters.

According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, speed and athleticism are priorities for the Lakers at the trade deadline. It will be interesting to see if Los Angeles general manager Rob Pelinka can acquire Murray and/or LaVine.
