The Toronto Raptors are widely expected to trade Pascal Siakam before the trade deadline in February. Siakam, who becomes an unrestricted free agent after this season, will likely leave the Raptors in free agency if he’s not traded, according to NBA insider Matt Moore of The Action Network.
Moore reports that the Raptors are expected to build around OG Anunoby and Scottie Barnes.
“My understanding currently is that the Raptors are likely to build around the combination of Anunoby and Barnes, and that Siakam will likely head somewhere willing to pay him this summer,” Moore wrote. “That’s the next complication.”
The Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks are interested in acquiring Siakam. The Raptors haven’t offered Siakam a contract extension.
