The Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers could trade for Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine, according to NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic.

LaVine and the Bulls are open to parting ways and both the Lakers and Sixers are interested in acquiring LaVine. However, Los Angeles and Philadelphia are expected to be patient.

LaVine is averaging 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists on the season for the Bulls while shooting 44.3% from the field, 33.6% from beyond the arc and 86.6% from the free-throw line. He will miss the next four weeks with right foot soreness.

The Bulls are 9-14 on the season. However, they have won their last four games without LaVine. Meanwhile, the Lakers are 14-9 and the Sixers are 14-7. Los Angeles won the NBA In-Season Tournament in Las Vegas.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers Updates

LaVine has the same agent (Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group) as Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The UCLA product signed a five-year, $215 million contract with the Bulls in July 2022. He’s making $40 million this season.

LaVine would like to get traded to the Lakers, Miami Heat, Sixers, San Antonio Spurs or Sacramento Kings, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports. However, he can’t control where he gets traded since he doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract.

LaVine is “well aware” the Bulls tried to trade him last offseason, according to NBA reporter K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago. The two-time All-Star has also grown tired of the internal debate within the Bulls organization on whether he can be a lead player on a championship-contending team.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers Updates

Most NBA observers believe the Bulls will trade LaVine before the trade deadline in February. Both the Lakers and Sixers are playing good basketball right now, which is why they are being patient in LaVine trade talks.
