Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant believes the Los Angeles Lakers will win the In-Season Tournament in Las Vegas.
The Lakers beat the Suns in the quarterfinals and will face the New Orleans Pelicans in the semifinals. If Los Angeles beats New Orleans, the purple and gold will play either the Milwaukee Bucks or Indiana Pacers in the championship game.
“I’m gonna go with the Lakers since they beat us,” Durant said. “And they got the size to compete with anybody. They got the quickest flight out of anybody. The most fans out of anybody. So it’s set up for them to win and I can’t wait to watch. The intensity of these games has been incredible. Like I said, I wasn’t a fan as they were performing this thing, but now I’m a huge fan of In-Season and looking forward to watching it.”

The players on the winning team of the In-Season Tournament get $500,000. Lakers superstar LeBron James, who finished with 31 points, eight rebounds, 11 assists and five steals against the Suns, isn’t surprised that players are competing at a high level.
“You’ve got some of the most alpha male competitors in the world, and if you give us an opportunity to play for something meaningful or an incentive, then you get what you’re getting,” LeBron said. “The in-season tournament is what it is, and we have an opportunity to play on a big stage, be on national television, represent our families, our communities, where we come from.”
