During the Los Angeles Lakers’ blowout loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, LeBron James made both positive and negative history.
Let’s start with the positive first. LeBron became the NBA’s all-time leader in minutes played. Taking into account both regular-season and postseason games, LeBron has now played 66,319 minutes in his career, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s total of 66,297 minutes.
Now, the negative side. The Lakers lost to the Sixers by 44 points, the largest defeat of LeBron’s 21-year career and tied for the fifth biggest in Lakers history.
“What needs to change in order for that not to happen again? Um, a lot,” LeBron said.
When he was asked if there was anything in particular the Lakers needed to focus on, LeBron repeated: “No. A lot.”
