Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic suffered a left hand injury against the Los Angeles Clippers and underwent X-rays at halftime.
Doncic told reporters after the game that he doesn’t believe his hand is broken.
“I don’t think it’s broken,” said Doncic, who was wearing a wrap around his left hand and thumb. “We will see further tomorrow in Dallas.”
The Mavericks lost to the Clippers by a final score of 107-88. Doncic played 38 minutes and finished with 30 points, three rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 12-of-27 from the field, 1-of-8 from beyond the arc and 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.

Doncic and the Mavericks dropped to 10-6 on the season after losing to the Clippers. Doncic is averaging 30.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.8 assists in 16 games while shooting 48.7% overall, 39.4% from 3 and 76.5% from the foul line.
“Yeah, I think we need to be a little bit better on [countering double teams], and I have to play better, make better reads, for sure,” Doncic said. “Just make the easy play, don’t try to do anything hard. Just make the easy play then we can play 4-on-3. It’s not on them, it’s on me, so I have to make the simple play.”

If Doncic makes an All-NBA team this season, he would become eligible to sign a five-year, projected $318 million supermax extension in 2025. All signs point toward Doncic making an All-NBA team this season. He’s putting up MVP numbers and the Mavericks are above .500.
