A new NBA trade proposal would send Alex Caruso from the Chicago Bulls to the Golden State Warriors.
Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report proposed the following trade idea between the Bulls and Warriors:
The Chicago Bulls trade Alex Caruso to the Golden State Warriors for Jonathan Kuminga, Cory Joseph, Gui Santos and a 2027 first-round pick
Caruso is averaging 10.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals on the season. He’s one of the best defenders in the NBA.
Multiple teams are interested in trading for Caruso, according to NBA insider Marc Stein. The Bulls are only 5-10 and most NBA execs believe Chicago will blow up the roster before the trade deadline in February and embark on a rebuild.

“Caruso would be a hand-in-glove fit with the Warriors due to his defense, versatility and sky-high IQ,” Buckley wrote.
Caruso is shooting 56.3% from the field, 47.9% from beyond the arc and 76.0% from the free-throw line this season. He talked to Darn ell Mayberry of The Athletic about his jumper.
“Just trusting it,” Caruso said. “Somebody asked me in preseason, I think it was after one of those games I made like four 3s against Denver maybe. And it was one of those things where (the question) was, ‘Well, what are you going to do when the regular season starts?’ I said, ‘The same thing.’ I’m hunting the shots, catch-and-shoots, that I know are going to be there for me coming off DeMar, coming off Zach, coming off guys getting downhill. And then since I’m shooting it well, I’m starting to hunt some other ones that I think I need to be aggressive or the team’s looking for a spark or something like that, too.”

Caruso helped the Los Angeles Lakers win the 2020 championship over the Miami Heat at the Walt Disney World bubble. It will be fascinating to see if the Bulls trade the All-NBA defender.
