A new NBA trade proposal would send DeMar DeRozan from the Chicago Bulls to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report proposed the following trade idea between the Bulls and Sixers:
The Chicago Bulls trade DeMar DeRozan to the Philadelphia 76ers for Marcus Morris Sr., Nicolas Batum, Jaden Springer and a 2028 first-round pick (top-four protected)
DeRozan is in the final year of his contract. The Bulls and DeRozan’s camp haven’t made progress on an extension, and barring a complete turnaround, it appears Chicago will miss the playoffs again this season.

Since Zach LaVine is looking to get traded by the Bulls, DeRozan is a trade candidate since there would be no point for the USC product to stay in Chicago if LaVine is gone.
“The Sixers have enough trade chips to take a bigger swing than this, but a DeRozan deal could help now without spoiling any future plans,” Buckley wrote. “He’d address the need for more playmaking, and his expiring contract would do nothing to limit the $50 million-plus Philly could have in cap space next summer.”
DeRozan is averaging 21.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists this season while shooting 44.4% from the field, 36.1% from beyond the arc and 83.5% from the free-throw line.
The Sixers, who are 10-5 on the season, could start Tyrese Maxey, De’Anthony Melton, DeRozan, Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid if Philadelphia’s front office figured out a path to acquire DeRozan from Chicago.
