One NBA writer is proposing that the Golden State Warriors acquire Nikola Vucevic from the Chicago Bulls and Austin Reaves from the Los Angeles Lakers.
Fran Leiva of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Warriors, Lakers, Miami Heat and Bulls.
Golden State Warriors receive: Nikola Vucevic, Austin Reaves, Nikola Jovic
Los Angeles Lakers receive: DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso, Moses Moody
Miami Heat receive: Zach LaVine, Gabe Vincent
Chicago Bulls receive: Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins, Rui Hachimura, Duncan Robinson, 2028 first-round pick (via Lakers), 2027 first-round pick (via Heat)
Vucevic and Reaves signed new NBA contracts this past offseason. Vucevic can’t be traded until December 28, while Reaves can’t be moved until January 15.

Vucevic signed a three-year, $60 million contract with the Bulls and Reaves signed a four-year, $53.8 million deal with the Lakers.
Vucevic is averaging 16.9 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists this season while shooting 46.4% from the field, 24.5% from beyond the arc and 82.1% from the free-throw line.
Meanwhile, Reaves is averaging 13.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists while shooting 45.8% from the floor, 35.0% from 3 and 82.7% from the foul line.
The Warriors could start Stephen Curry, Reaves, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Vucevic if Golden State’s front office figured out a way to acquire Reaves from Los Angeles and Vucevic from Chicago.
Vucevic has career NBA averages of 17.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists with the Orlando Magic and Bulls. He’s made two All-Star teams and is a walking double-double.

Meanwhile, Reaves has career NBA averages of 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists with the Lakers. He is a rising star in the league and helped the Lakers beat the Warriors in the 2023 Western Conference Semifinals in six games.
