After the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Houston Rockets on November 19, Rui Hachimura roasted Dillon Brooks.
Brooks always goes after Lakers superstar LeBron James on the court through physical play and trash talk and LeBron continues to torch the Rockets swingman. Hachimura thinks Brooks is trying to be part of LeBron’s legacy at this point.
The Lakers defeated the Rockets by a final score of 105-104. LeBron had 37 points, six rebounds and eight assists, while Brooks put up 24 points and four steals.

Brooks called LeBron “old” during the first round of the 2023 playoffs when he was with the Memphis Grizzlies. LeBron responded by averaging 22.2 points and sending Brooks home in six games.
Brooks, though, didn’t learn his lesson. He said he would lock up LeBron this season and that clearly didn’t happen since The King scored 37 points. Someone on the Rockets should probably tell Brooks to stop going after LeBron.
“He’s a great competitor,” LeBron said of Brooks. “I like going against him. And he was hooping tonight, too, for sure. He was shooting the ball exceptionally well, kept them in the game. So, that’s competition. Those young guys, they get me going. So, I need that.”
LeBron is averaging 26.4 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.5 assists on the season for the Lakers while shooting 58.6% from the field, 39.7% from beyond the arc and 69.1% from the free-throw line. He is still one of the best players in the NBA despite being 38.
Meanwhile, Brooks is averaging 13.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists for the Rockets while shooting 51.4% overall, 51.2% from 3 and 80.8% from the foul line.
