Los Angeles Clippers small forward Paul George has been fined $35,000 by the NBA for public criticism of refs.

George ripped the refs who officiated the Clippers-Denver Nuggets game on November 14.

Here’s what George had to say after the Clippers-Nuggets game:

“I thought we played great. It’s tough. The adversity of playing against the extra three,” George said. “I thought they were awful. But, defending champs, we got to play better. There’s a lot to be positive about. I’m not one for moral victories, but I thought we showed more of a sign of a team tonight that’s close to getting it over the hump.”

George finished with 35 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals versus the Nuggets while shooting 13-of-26 from the field, 4-of-11 from beyond the arc and 5-of-5 from the foul line.

The Clippers are 0-5 with James Harden in the lineup. They have lost to the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies and Nuggets.

“We’re all honoring this adjustment. We have to sacrifice. We understand it. Simple as that. No one is going against that. Nobody is frustrated about it,” George told Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report. “We know what we have. There’s one ball, and there’s four good motherf–kers. And we understand that and embrace it. We want to make each other better, and I don’t think one person is complaining one bit about it.”
