After the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Chicago Bulls on November 13, Giannis Antetokounmpo talked about his partnership with Khris Middleton.

Middleton became the fifth-leading scorer in Bucks history against the Bulls.

“I’m happy for him because I’ve been by his side for 11 years and for many more years to come,” Antetokounmpo said. “It’s something that’s going to connect us for the rest of our lives. When we’re done playing, we can both see our names up there.”

Antetokounmpo and Middleton helped the Bucks win the 2021 title over the Phoenix Suns. Both players will get their jerseys retired by the franchise one day.

“It’s incredible,” Antetokounmpo said. “It’s incredible. From where we started and where we are right now, it’s been a great journey. I’ve been with this guy for 11 years, I don’t think anybody expected (us) to be in this position that we are today. He’s No. 5 now? He’s probably going to be No. 2. I don’t know if he’s going be No. 1.”

The Bucks improved to 6-4 on the season after beating the Bulls. Antetokounmpo is averaging 29.5 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists on the season, while Middleton is averaging 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

“Yeah, it was (fitting),” Middleton said of his post-up finish to move to fifth on the Bucks’ all-time scoring list. “It was pretty cool, especially against JC (Jevon Carter). Spent a lot of time with him over the years here and I told him a post-up was coming at some point. It makes it a little bit cooler now that it was against him, a competitive guard that prides himself on defense. I think I’d definitely take a 3 or a post-up as that moment.”
